A 40% Return on Investment In 1 Week ?

Opportunities 1 Comment »

I recently paid somebody $20 for him to tell me of a place online where I could advertise Clickbank products.

The advert itself costs $500 for 7 days but this person has consistently made $700 or more per campaign.

I’ve decided to give his idea a try. If all goes to plan I’ll make $200 profit in my first week and this will encourage me to upgrade from a 1-week advert to a 1-month advert.

Things may not go to plan but my initial estimates are that for the $1500 it will cost me for 4 weeks of advertising (after discount) if I can bring in $2800 return I’ll be happy enough.

The concept itself is very appealing. It’s little more work than locating a good place to advertisse and risking a bit of money to test it out. If it brings in even $500 a month it’ll be worth my time, although I do hope I can develop this so that it makes at least $1,000.

Selling, Building and Buying More Domains

Opportunities No Comments »

Aside from a group of under-developed and stagnant websites, I have a portfolio of about 100 domain names.

I’m in no immediate hurry to sell them and I’ve decided to at least let them pay for themselves in some way.

  • I have about 12 great domain names for porn websites so I’ll be creating a blogfarm for those.
  • I have a great portfolio of Is[verb] and Are[verb] domains that I’ll probably also create some generic blog farm on
  • I’m looking to sell either youdocare.com & youdocare.co.uk or checkforspam.com and check4spam.com this year if I can get an appealing price for them.

I still seem to be able fo acquire great domain names without spending too much time on them. In fact three times in this last month I’ve woken up in the middle of the night with an idea for a domain name and I snapped them up. I got isblogged.com which I was really pleased with (I have isblogged.info already) as the domain was already registered last year when I wanted it.

I also got a domain which is very close to one of my competitor’s sites. I searched for the domain literally the day it expired which was a nice bonus for me as it’s a domain I’ve wanted for about a year.

The other purchases I made are

  • allscreensavers.biz
  • allvideos.biz
  • allsoftware.biz

… which I have plans to use with a particular affiliate program I’m registered with. I’d not usually buy .biz domains but the benefits of having three in one set made it worth my while.

A Simple Motivational Technique

Business Skills No Comments »

I read a very simple idea to stay motivated when undergoing routine activities and have today decided to put the idea into effect.

To keep motivated on something that requires a routine action (e.g. 1 hour of exercise a day), simply get a yearly calendar and mark on that calendar each day you accomplish your goal. Link these days together with a colored lined so that after a few successful days you’ll be reluctant to break the line.

This seems like a great idea for me because I’m always motivated for at least my first week and then things begin to trail off.

I found a great website that will create custom calendars for free at PDFCalendar.com

The Perfect Business?

Opportunities 2 Comments »

Once in a blue moon I learn of a business opportunity that I can automate 100% with outsourced workers. This weekend I lost some Myspace accounts (not really such a problem) but I also got in contact with a company who are able to basically run my entire MySpace money-making business for just a few hundred dollars a month.

Seeing as how I have plans to scale this business up so that it can make literally thousands of dollars a month, I’m pretty excited about how it’s progressing.

New PlugandSave Site Goes Live

New Websites No Comments »

I’ve asked my developers to upload my new Plug and Save website although its a few weeks away from completion.

This site sells power saving devices which we can acquire in Thailand. We’ve developed a good relationship wit the manufacturer and have arranged an OEM deal with them. As you’ll see from the images on the new site, compared to those of the old one we’ve redesigned the units so that they are only in English and look a lot more credible.

This is a huge improvement over the old 1-page sales letter site and one day I plan to build it up into a credible business with many resellers, affiliates and dropshippers working under me.

I’m spending my time on other things right now but I know that this is a high-potential business. I expect it’ll sit on the sidelines for the next few months and I’ll get to work on it early 2008.

Phone-Guide.com Sold for $500

Success No Comments »

I sold Phone-Guide.com last week as I’ve got no plans or motivation to develop it any further. The buyer’s going to develop the site so it will be uplifting to see it being used productively.

I’ve got over 20 ‘proper’ websites now and although I’d love to develop them all, I really don’t have the time or the concentration to work on them. I’d be happy with a bit more money in my pocket to spend on outsourcing so this sale will hopefully be one of many.

Making Money With MySpace

Opportunities No Comments »

I’ve just completed a lesson with a new friend of mine who’s been holding my hand with a system to make money using MySpace.

So far so good. I made $22.50 yesterday (Although half of that will go to my new mentor as I’ll be rewarding him with 50% of my income for the 1st month) and the work I actually did can certainly be scales up at least tenfold.

There’s a bit of tedium involved so I’m going to see how much of the work can be outsourced and how much of the process I can automate or streamline. In theory I don’t see any reason why I can’t bring in $100-$200 a day with this.

Changing Server and Saving $140 a Month

Computers, Financial No Comments »

I’d committed to a dedicated server earlier this year when I had every intention of building literally thousands of web sites.

I’d subscribed to a membership forum to learn how to create (and - most importantly - how to market) made-for-adsense websites and followed the challenging tutorial up to the part where I actually needed to build these sites.

I’d worked tirelessly creating a network of 90 ‘blogfarms’ at this stage and I had over 300 self-populating Wordpress installs over the 500 domains I’d bought. It was about then that my enthusiasm died down. I’m not one to give up on any projects but I realized that working any harder would take time away from my other sites and, for every month the sites lay unfinished I was throwing away $175 for a dedicated server and faced a $500+ domain renewal fee in the next few months.

Yet Another New Blog!

New Websites No Comments »

I’m going a bit blog-crazy right now and decided to add yet another distraction to my portfolio.

Rather than bore friends with business-talk, and distract clients with social talk I thought I’d create this purely for business-related news.

We’ve got a lot on our plate right now so, although we won’t update the blog too often, there’ll certainly be a lot of news as new sites are updated, replaced, bought sold and (too often) accidentally destroyed.

Please return to the site shortly and we’ll keep you updated.
