$820 from Casino Affiliate Programs in 3 Month - With No Work
Success October 19th, 2007Many months ago I wrote a 4-page report for my Geekcrets.com website called How to Get Free Money From Online Casinos. Although the article itself took me some time to write, I wasn’t especially pleased with it. After about 3 weeks of testing I concluded that it’s not such a clever way to make money.
To monetize the report, I added some affiliate links to casino sites. I added about 10 in total. After a week or two a friend - with considerablly more experience than me in the Casino industry offered to suggest some better casinos. I agreed to his help, and in exchange, I replaced about half my affiliate links with his.
I send news of the report to about 2,000 people on my mailing list and forgot about it. I forgot to even keep track of which affiliate programs I’d even used and didn’t expect to gain anything. In fact I didn’t get the page added to any search engines and there is no way anybody else would have discovered the page.
In the middle of August I received this email in my Spam folder …
Hi Martin,
Hope all is well. My accounting department just sent me note concerning your payment method. You cumulated in July the amount of $193.72 USD in commissions and we would like to know how to pay you.
We offer cheques and bank wire.
Please send us your information asap.
I’m not quite sure what caught my attention but I did decide to reply to see what this was about. To my great surprise I had generated some significant business for myself and, on giving them my details I was promptly paid. Strangely though I receied zero sales from any other links on that page though and wonder if I was lucky enough to snag one person who’s a high-roller.
Thinking nothing of this fluke, I banked my money and forgot about it again.
Today I just received a second affiliate payment for about $670 ![]()
