By setting up a work-specific email address for your team members you’re not only communicating a level of professionalism in your business but – most importantly you’re taking ownership of the information sent and received in these emails so that, when the time comes that your Team member leaves, you can immediately disable their email account and retain the sensitive information you’ve shared with them.
You can even reassign that email account to a replacement team member so that they can resume work from where it was left off.
We use Google Apps to manage all our email accounts and although it is no longer free, it’s a fantastic solution for all businesses.
